Family  Session Experience

How Do I Pick A Location?

It is important to book early as my schedule can full up fast especially in the fall months.  I do full family sessions outside on weekday and weekend evenings an hour before sunset so you get that gorgeous golden hour glow.  This time can very a lot depending on the time of year.

How Many People Are Included?

Classic family sessions include an hour of session time at a location of your choice (within 25 miles of Shepherdstown, WV or Summit Point WV) and your choice of 20 digital files from your gallery of 75+.  You can upgrade to the deluxe family session to get all of the digital images in your gallery.

I have a list of locations that I prefer to shoot at and can help you decide on the perfect location for your family session depending on the time of year. If you have a spot you would like to shoot at within 250 miles of Shepherdstown or Summit Point WV that will work as well!   

6 people are included with family sessions.  You can add additional people for $25 each.  If you have a large family you want photos of I would suggest booking the Extended Family Session.

Something you are comfortable and confident in! If you are having a difficult time choosing outfits for a large family I often recommend dressing one person in a pattern and choosing colors from that for the rest of the family to wear. Simple is always best you don't want too many loud patterns as it will take away from the connections and people in the photos.

After Your Session

You can expect to receive your finished gallery within 2 weeks after your session date. You will receive an e-mail with the link to your gallery. If you need to select images for your package you can do so from the gallery and will get a download link as soon as you make your selections. You can purchase additional digital files or prints from your gallery if you choose to do so though, no other purchase is required.  

I believe it is so important to capture photos of your family a least once a year.  Children grow and change so much that it is really important to capture their differnent stages of life as they grow.  Family photos take up a large portion of my home and I just love looking at photos of my kids throughout the years and I want to provide the same memories for my clients!  So if you want to fill your home with gorgeous photos of your family then I am your girl!  I would love to help fill your home with the pictures and memories that will last forever!  

when Do I schedual?

During Your Session

Once you get to the location you will send me a text and we will meet up. I will take a lot of photos during your session and a lot of combinations of different family members. We will do photos looking at the camera and photos where you are looking and connecting with each other. It will truly be a great variety that will show your families connection and personalities.
